Today, The American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Concord held their kickoff event at the Red River Theater in Concord, NH. Making Strides holds a walk annually to raise money for breast cancer research – as well as to celebrate and honor those who have struggled with the disease. The event in Concord has the distinction of raising the most money per capita than any other Making Strides event across the country, with a total of $588,567! Last year, it was also recognized as the most enjoyable Making Strides event in the country.
I encourage everyone to come out and support this terrific cause. The event will be held at Memorial Field in Concord on Sunday, October 19, 2014, with registration from 11 AM – 12:30 PM, the Opening Ceremony at 12:45, and the Walk beginning at 1 PM. For more information on how you can help, visit their Facebook page or contact Kathi Russ at 603-738-4404 or emailing her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I’m going to be volunteering my photography services this year. Supporting cancer research means quite a bit to me because of my personal history with cancer. I’ve had colon cancer twice and my ex-wife had breast cancer twice. We would love for medicine to reach the point where our daughter could be spared going through what we went through.
Please find even a small way to support this worthy cause. Thank you!
