Karner Blue

Karner Blue Butterfly Alight in a Field

In Fine Art, Nature, Post by Aaron BakerLeave a Comment

While walking through a field with a friend, I saw a dainty, powder-blue butterfly alight on a flower not far away. The Karner Blue butterfly, the NH State Butterfly, is rare and usually rather shy. This one, however, ignored me and continued feeding while I took several photos. Another butterfly of a different species apparently got a might jealous of the attention I gave the Karner Blue, so it landed on another fly a couple of feet away from where I crouched in the grass. Unfortunately, I was so excited about getting shots of the Karner Blue that I didn’t get any good shots of the other butterfly.
