When someone picks an October date for a wedding, there is one detail even the best wedding planner can’t control–fall foliage. For Alex and Toni, Mother Nature cooperated and provided the perfect backdrop for their lakeside wedding. Just enough fall color and no wind cast a beautiful reflection in the lake just as the ceremony began.
That backdrop was pretty nice and no one could have predicted this . . . but this easy going bride and groom took it in stride when two fisherman paid more intention to the fish at the end of their lines than the fact they were photo bombing their special day.
Toni and Alex brushed that aside but didn’t leave anything to chance with their rings, asking nephew Cody to provide Ring Security. Cody took his job very seriously and guarded the rings with his special attaché case, which he kept under lock and key until he delivered them to the bride and groom at just the right moment. Way to go, Cody!
Dinner and dancing followed at a nearby venue. Wedding traditions like throwing the bouquet and cutting the (cup) cake were interspersed with special music requests by the bride and groom and a LOT of dancing. Toni’s grandmother, Connie (aka Nana), at 94 years old reigned as the family matriarch and queen of the dance floor.
It was a fun wedding. The love Alex and Toni expressed for each, their families and their friends is what makes every wedding a privilege for Mulberry Creek Imagery.
