A blend of elegance and country charm surrounded Samantha (“Sam”) and Kevin when they married last week at the New Life Fellowship Church in Concord, NH. Many things made this wedding special. Among them—Sam’s mother served as the Matron of Honor; her son, Danny, was a winning ring bearer; Kevin’s groomsmen included best friend Glen, his brothers, and National Guard comrades; and many of Kevin’s family drove from Virginia, including all his young nieces and nephews who were welcomed at the church and reception held at the Tilton Train Station.
Some families prefer all formal pictures, while others—like Sam’s and Kevin’s families—like to have fun with the wedding photos. They came prepared with props that matched the exuberant personalities of the wedding party. A few examples below give you an idea of the playful images we captured. (More to come when we post the rest of the photos!) The tradition of rice-throwing was replaced by floating bubbles, which continued throughout the day and surrounded those heading to the dance floor. Thanks to all the bubble makers!
This was a dancing crowd, and the kids were great at getting dads, moms, aunts and uncles out on the dance floor. They were just having fun and being kids, but they were great assistants too. All that groovin’ to the music helps people relax and forget about the camera—a perfect combination for candid shots that capture personalities and some very cool dance moves.
If you follow our blogs, this couple may look familiar to you. That’s because we shot Kevin surprising Sam in March 2016 with an engagement ring and marriage proposal during what she thought was a “couple’s portrait” session at Bear Brook State Park. (Check out engagement photos here.)
We speak fondly of Kevin and Sam when talking to friends or new customers because their engagement was a very special—and very romantic—photo shoot. We were thrilled when they asked us to photograph their wedding! Now, we have two stories to tell about this madly-in-love couple whom we’ve gotten to know a bit better. We look forward to having an opportunity to celebrate other milestones with them in the future.
It’s always an honor to be part of a couple’s special day and hope that the joy, love, and commitment Kevin and Sam shared on their wedding day only grows stronger.
