Like most couples, Stevee and Ryan planned their wedding months in advance – and hope the weather cooperates. They got lucky. For their early September wedding at Lake Shore Village Resort on the shore of Horace Lake in Weare, NH, the forecast warned of strong storms in the afternoon. The storms passed on either side of Weare, but we only got a few sprinkles and a really short shower. All of that happened well before the ceremony (although it did delay some photos).
Despite clouds hiding the sun, the wedding turned out beautifully. The bride and bridesmaids got ready in a newly-constructed cabin up the hill from the lake with wonderful views. (See my post about the adorable flower girl for some glimpses of it.) The groom and groomsmen came up to the cabin for the First Look photos then the whole party walked down a path to the shore.
The sky darkened a little and thunder echoed across the lake as everyone prepared for the ceremony. The officiant went a through the ceremony a bit faster than she normally would have in hopes of avoiding any rain. She needn’t have worried. By the time the ceremony ended, the sky was getting lighter and the rest of evening turned out quite pleasant. Eating and dancing, laughing and chatting finished out the special day.
